My Design Philosophy
My path to finding design was a challenging one. In my early years, as creatives tend to do, I looked at my future from various angles. I tested different career paths and took risks to discover what work might motivate me to innovate and accomplish more. However, little did I know that by trying these diverse disciplines, it would, in the end, refine me more as a designer. By facing those obstacles of figuring out who I am and who I could become, design became a combination of these trials and changed my trajectory completely. I learned how to solve problems from several points of view and seek advice from all types of people who could inform my way forward.
The value I can bring to the table is an ability to expand the many possible iterations a product can take, or experiences that a user can enjoy. I always ask myself: who and what is missing, while acknowledging that sometimes even a small tweak can create new opportunities. What I enjoy most is helping clients find their own sweet spot, too, marrying their needs with the needs of possible consumers. Learning more about the behaviors and attitudes of people and markets, and studying a product life cycle as a whole, excites me and informs every action I take.
From manufacturing, logistics, post-life, and on – understanding not only the product but its supporting system is a value I can bring to your team. Jumping into the roller coaster process that is design, and being able to ideate as a group or form solutions independently, is what fuels me to innovate and refine.
I hope to bring my passion to discover and unite objectives and opportunities to the future of your team. I would be more than happy to meet at a time that works for you, so we can talk more in detail about who I am, my work, and how I can help your clients find the right path forward, too.
